Interactive public art project, 2010.
Commissioned for the 14 meter by 9.5 meter LED Facade of MediaLab Prado, Madrid.
In collaboration with Zevan Rosser.
an interactive public art project linking color as interpreted in spoken language with Twitter. The project selects a color name from a "spoken language" color library, as online contributors worldwide associate a word or phrase with a color of their choice. When a color is selected, a Twitter search is performed for tweets containing this color name and the complete tweets are displayed, generating a cross among international cyber communities.
We found the giant LED facade to exist in a rather intimate plaza, provoking thoughts of exhibitionism of private behavior or a public call out to a private audience.
